Four straight CUNY Conference championships, four straight 20-win seasons, three straight Hudson Valley Conference championships, four straight appearances in the ECAC Post-Season Tournament and regional championships in 1987. These are some of the accomplishments of the City College women’s basketball team.

Many of the Lady Beavers come to the court with excellent scholastic credentials, having starred for their high school teams. However, there is ample opportunity for unheralded, untried players to contribute to the team.
The players also come to the team as dedicated students who work as hard on their studies as they do on their jump-shots. This is something upon which the coaching staff insists, and it is the staff’s belief that the team is so successful because the players are as committed to their academic work as they are to basketball.
