Cohen’s autobiography A Dreamer’s Journey, published after he passed away, came from a desire to write the story of his life as an illustration of the forces that found expression in his life, especially those which molded Jewish history and illustrated by
the struggles of his parents. It also reinforces the impression that Cohen’s life itself had profound philosophical importance.
