Fletcher's New York City Souvenirs consisted of a series of five brochures containing a total of 102 pictures. The brochures were sponsored by Fletcher's Castoria, and each brochure sold for 2 cents.

Series number 5, "Churches and Colleges" (shown here), includes 21 images. The College of the City of New York, Columbia University and its Teachers' College, the Normal College (now Hunter) and two Bronx schools-NYU and Webb's Academy and Home for Ship-Builders-are the educational institutions depicted.
